About BRIO Siric challenges and actions   BRIO’s strategic objective is to strengthen Bordeaux’s leadership in Cancer Research through the creation of a dynamic cancer research community, the pursuit of scientific excellence and the establishment of state-of-the-art transversal platforms. To achieve these strategic objectives, great emphasis was placed over the last year in the consolidation of governance mechanisms conducive to an all-inclusive approach leading to a significant strengthening of relations between consortium members and local stakeholders. Capitalizing on these governance mechanisms, BRIO’s activities and financial interventions have been aligned with the strategic objectives and gradually shifted from structural support (programs, axes) to competitive interventions capable of supporting scientific excellence in established and emerging research themes. Further integration with local stakeholders in the value-chains relevant to translational research in cancer will be pursued to maximise impact on patient’s care and local development. Cette présentation a été donnée dans le cadre du BRIO SIRIC scientific day 3 organisé annuellement par le SIRIC BRIO et qui a pour but de réunir tous les acteurs du SIRIC BRIO et plus largement de la cancérologie à Bordeaux.
